masterclass
MasterClass is the streaming platform where anyone can learn from the world's best. It is is an immersive online experience. The curriculum for each MasterClass is designed by the instructor. Each class includes extensive pre-recorded video content, a class workbook, interactive assignments, and community activities.
During my time at MasterClass, I worked in the publishing department to design class workbooks and contributed in courses taught by Danny Elfman, Bob Iger, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Misty Copeland, Chris Voss, David Sedaris, Bobbie Brown, and Gabriela Cámara.
The process of each workbook starts with a long word document, and ends with a visually interactive course workbook that displays infographics, sidebars, pull-quotes, photography, charts, stylized lists, and more.

CHAPTER TITLES & PULL QUOTE TREATMENTThe main identifiers for new chapters are bold chapter titles as the first visual hierarchy, and the large chapter numbers at the bottom of the page as secondary.
Every new chapter is also introduced with a pull quote, which is treated with bold text and lower opacity.
SIDEBAR TREATMENTTo stay consistent with the sketchbook identity of Bob Iger’s MasterClass course, each sidebar is treated as a “post-it note”. The sidebars consist of extra content and fun facts about his career in Disney.
TIMELINE TREATMENTThis is a layout of Bob Iger’s career with Marvel and Disney in a timeline format. It is visually digestible and packed with content. It includes yellow and blue color-codes that indicate which movie was produced under Marvel, or Marvel Cinematic Universe (the merge of Marvel and Disney).
